Dane Miller will be one of three Christian County wrestlers headed to Midway University to continue his career.
Miller finished his Christian County career in February as a two-time KHSAA state medalist and helped close out the school’s wrestling era before the Hopkinsville-Christian County consolidation.
Miller placed eighth in the 144-pound class at the 2026 KHSAA State Wrestling Championships, giving him a second straight trip to the state podium after finishing sixth in 2025. He ended his senior season at 34-8 and finished his final two years at 72-16.
At the 2026 state tournament, Miller lost in the second round to eventual state semifinalist Chance Mills of Madison Central, then battled back with three straight decision wins to reach the medal round. He eventually finished eighth.
Miller will join teammates Deacon Harrison and Treshawn Crenshaw at Midway, which began its program in 2018. The NAIA school competes in the Mid-South Conference. Their roster includes a mix of Kentucky and out-of-state wrestlers. Logan Brown of Caldwell County High School, as well as wrestlers from Paducah Tilghman, Bryan Station, and Madison Southern, are also included on Midway’s roster.
