After back-to-back trips to the KHSAA State Wrestling Tournament, Christian County’s Deacon Harrison will continue his career at Midway University.

At the 2026 Region 1 Tournament, Harrison finished third at 157 pounds and qualified for state for the second straight year. He entered the region tourney at 25-6 and picked up a 10-7 decision over Owensboro’s Kameryis Rodriguez Cline, who had been unbeaten entering the day, to claim third place. After a semifinal loss to regional champion Thomas Brauer of Owensboro Catholic, Harrison bounced back with two wins to secure his return trip to state.

Harrison will join his Colonel teammates, Dane Miller and Treshawn Crenshaw, who also committed to Midway, an NAIA school that competes in the Mid-South Conference. Their roster includes a mix of Kentucky and out-of-state wrestlers. Logan Brown of Caldwell County High School, as well as wrestlers from Paducah Tilghman, Bryan Station, and Madison Southern, are also included on Midway’s roster.
