Maybe the impact of landing four-star quarterback Jake Nawrot, a top 40 player in the 2027 recruiting class and No. 2 quarterback, is already being felt.
Nawrot verbally committed to Kentucky and coach Will Stein on Sunday and Thursday three-star tight end Trae “Tank” Proctor flipped his commitment from Auburn to Kentucky according to recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong.
Proctor was Auburn’s only offensive commitment in the 2027 recruiting class and one of only two commitments for the Tigers and now he’s heading to UK. He is a top 500 player nationally in the Rivals.com rankings and No. 31 tight end.
He had been committed to Auburn since Jan. 19 but Stein and his staff have worked the South Florida area hard in recruiting.
Maybe it was Nawrot committing to Kentucky or maybe Proctor realized that even though Kentucky was one of the worst teams in the Southeastern Conference last year it still beat Auburn to get then coach Hugh Freeze fired.

The guys we are bringing in are elite across the board. Football is much different than basketball. In basketball anyone in the top 150 is a good basketball player. In football anyone in the top 1,000 is a good football player. Anyone in the top 750 is a great football player. This guy is a solid pickup. He will be our starting tight end in a couple of years.
