Warriors Fall to Trinity (Whitesville) in Five Innings

Trinity’s Kayin Howard drove in six runs and picked up the win on the mound to down hosts Heritage Christian Academy 11-2 on Friday. Trinity improved to 7-6 with its second win in a row to hand the Warriors their eighth loss in nine outings.

Howard finished 3/3 with a homerun and a pair of doubles, and Rylan Cecil added a hit and three RBI to spearhead the Raiders’ victory.

Howard also went the distance on the mound, allowing a pair of earned runs on four hits with three walks and four strikeouts over five innings.

Collin Outland took the loss for the Warriors, giving up five runs, four earned, on two hits with four walks and a pair of strikeouts. Aaron Hensley worked two and two-thirds innings in relief, surrendering six runs, five earned, on three hits with a strikeout and five walks.

Cadyn Travis was 2/3 at the plate for HCA, Caden Hale had a hit, and Outland drove in a run with a hit.

The Warriors slipped to 3-10 ahead of a trip to Russellville on Saturday to face Foundation Christian Academy and the Bluegrass Braves in the Kelly Russell Classic.
