Kentucky football coach Will Stein will make his unofficial debut at Kroger Field during the Blue-White game today.
The format will feature the Blue team (offense) against the White squad (defense). The first half will feature a 15-minute running clock, while the second half will be 12 minutes, with the final two minutes of each half including a two-minute timeout.
An early concern, Stein said, is the weather forecast. Inclement weather is possible in the region on Saturday and Stein urged fans to stay aware of possible schedule changes.

“I want to make sure all of our fans know that we’re going to keep them posted,” Stein said Thursday. “If it is inclement weather and severe chance of thunderstorms, we’re going to have to make the appropriate call come game time.”
All eyes will be on quarterback Kenny Minchey. Offensive coordinator Joe Sloan has been impressed with Minchey during spring workouts.
“He is now starting to adjust protections, adjust runs and be able to make quick adjustments, but also have an awareness of the situation,” Sloan said. “Where the play clock is or what kind of situation are we in. What are we trying to accomplish?
And I think that’s showing up in practice, and that’s what is exciting. I think he’s shown a lot of that throughout spring, especially here as of late.”
The scoring system will be as follows:
Offense (Blue)
• Touchdown: 6 points
• Field goal: 3 points
• Extra point: 1 point
• Conversions (3-yard line): 2 points
• Conversions (10-yard line): 4 points
Defense (White)
• Touchdown: 6 points
• Turnover: 6 points
• Forced punt: 1 point
• Three-and-out or turnover on downs: 3 points
