The Lyon County Lady Lyons softball team went into their game against the Crittenden County Lady Rockets on Tuesday evening having won their last two games. Unfortunately for both teams, the storms suspended the game, but the Lady Rockets took a 3-2 lead before that happened.
Lyon County got on the board in the top of the first with a single from Jaylen Tackett, but Crittenden was able to come right back with three runs of their own to take a 3-1 lead after the home half of the inning.
Ava Prow hit a sacrifice fly to center field to get the Lady Lyons their second run of the game, but that is when the weather rolled in, and the game had to be called.
Prow was also on the mound, and allowed just a pair of hits in two innings of work, while Jaylen Tackett led the way for the team at the plate with a pair of base knocks.
The Lady Lyons will be hoping to be able to play a full game in their next one against the Lady Wildcats of Trigg County on Friday, May 1. Their game will begin at 6 p.m. at the Trigg County Recreational Complex.
