One of the players who had a big part in the Christian County Colonels winning the 2022 2nd Region baseball title will now have the chance to continue playing the game at the collegiate level.
Josh Snorton recently announced that he would be heading to Kentucky State University to play baseball for the Thorobreds.
Snorton helped lead the Colonels to a 29-8 record and a berth in the state baseball tournament. He hit .373 with four home runs and 38 RBIs. The 38 RBIs was a team-high during the 2022 season. Snorton was second on the team in base hits and was a perfect 20 for 20 in stolen base attempts.
Kentucky State, a Division II program, is a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Thorobreds finished the 2022 season at 25-24.
