Caldwell County High School announced Friday morning that Aaron McClung is its new football head coach.
The former Tiger assistant takes over for Will Barnes, who resigned last month because his family wished to move back to Owensboro.
McClung is currently principal at CCHS, which would have prohibited him from taking the head coaching job. However, McClung was also announced Friday as the school’s new Food Service and Federal Programs Director, which will allow him to become football coach.
McClung was one of four applicants for the Caldwell head coaching position.
YSE spoke with the new Tiger football skipper Friday morning.
