Lady Tiger Swimmers Take Second Place in Tri-Meet

The Hopkinsville Lady Tiger swim team finished in second place in a three-team meet on Thursday at the Rick Cohn Aquatic Center.

Hoptown scored 66 points to finish behind Murray (177) and ahead of Christian County (25).

Grace Cansler won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:17.63 and was third in the 100-yard freestyle (1:04.60)

Livie Jorgensen finished second in the 200-yard IM (2:41.67) and fourth in the 100-yard freestyle (1:05.72)

Eliza Renshaw finished third in the 50-yard freestyle (31.04) and seventh in the 100-yard freestyle (1:14.62)

Caroline Payne was third in the 500-yard freestyle (6:37.82) and fifth in the 50-yard freestyle (31.92).

Kaley Bangart was fifth in the 500-yard freestyle (6:51.10) and seventh in the 50-yard freestyle (32.53).

Kaydon Coats was eighth in the 50-yard freestyle (32.73) and sixth in the 100-yard freestyle (1:14.33)

Brilyn Merrick was eighth in the 100-yard freestyle (1:14.91) and ninth in the 50-yard freestyle (34.89).

Evelyn Bangart was 10th in the 50-yard freestyle (35.10) and 10th in the 100-yard freestyle (1:18.94)

Madelin Macario was 12th in the 100-yard freestyle (1:24.18) and 13th in the 50-yard freestyle (37.40).

The 200-yard medley relay team of Caroline Payne, Grace Cansler, Eliza Renshaw, and Livie Jorgensen finished in second place in 2:19.17. They also finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 2:03.94.

The 200-yard medley relay team of Kaydon Coats, Evelyn Bangart, Kaley Bangart, and Brilyn Merrick finished in fourth place in 2:54.07. They were also third in the 400-yard free relay in 5:06.34.
