Reed Sheppard's mother, father and sister will all be part of the Reed Sheppard Experience at Rupp Arena.
While Big Blue Nation waits for Reed Sheppard to contemplate his future and whether he’ll head to the NBA or return to Kentucky for a sophomore season, the national freshman of the year will be back on the Rupp Arena court April 11 with a unique experience for young Kentucky basketball fans.
The Reed Sheppard Experience will include basketball instruction and a photo opportunity with Sheppard for campers. But the key is each camper will receive an autographed Reed Sheppard #15 Nike Kentucky jersey.
There will be two camp sessions — 5-7 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. — and it is open to all ages and abilities. There is also a virtual option for those who cannot attend the camp at Rupp Arena. Cost is $199 per camper.
Sheppard will also conduct a question-and-answer session with campers and will demonstrate various skills. But I also really like that campers will have a breakout session that includes his family — mother Stacey Reed Sheppard, father Jeff Sheppard and sister Madison Sheppard Wigginton. All three were also college basketball players and Jeff was the 1998 Final Four Most Outstanding Player when UK won the national title.
More information and registration for the Reed Sheppard Experience is available here.

Sam shoptaw wants to attend
Due to stay in school at least one or two more years
I would love to go but can’t afford it….
I don’t know Reed personally but his grandmother, Kyle Sheppard is one of dearest friends. I am a big fan of Reed. I loved playing basketball back in the day. I love wearing my Reed Sheppard sweat shirt. Proud for all the family. I am praying Reed will make the best decision for his future.
Very well said Mary
Yes, this is a sweet article. It’s nice to hear about his grandmother. His countenance reflects the family values and humble Christian living instilled in him by both of his parents.
The “Shepparding” of Reed has fruit for all to see.
Human virtues need to be filled with Divine attributes for the soul of a man to express the Lord Jesus in his daily living. The Sheppards are model citizens in this respect.
I will probably stop posting after reflecting on my haste to write about the take down of UK BB by some folks. It becomes a big distraction and misses a lot of wonderful aspects of players such as Reed.
Thanks again for your post.
I stopped posting about 4 years ago when my disgust with the direction of UK BB was rapidly declining and when I started again recently my frustration gushed out with volumes of unkind words about some folks not doing their job. I ask all readers to forgive me for my over-the-top posts, because it is not in my hands or capacity to do anything about it.
To any who may read this, God bless you and fill your heart with joy & spare you from being consumed with wanting UK to right the ship to the point of missing out in other wonderful events in your life. It just may not happen, but I still have been blessed the a marvelous family from youth to this day after more than 49 years of marriage and fruitful God-loving, Jesus believing family tree.
To Larry, my personal apology for throwing so much fuel on an already burning UK BB issue.
It’s my favorite site and where
I go for 95% of UK sports media info.
Thanks for the kind words Little Baron and I try to search for the good even in bad times. Just makes for a happier life and you pointed out
It’s my hope that Reed Sheppard will return the next 3 year’s and play for KY bBN like Jeff and Stacey did. He really needs to get his schooling behind him before going pro. Let’s say he gets injured playing pro. What’s he going to do then. We’ll enough said. This is just my opinion
Good opinion Carol but I don’t think it will happen. Hope it does
