Kentucky coaches and players have said a lot of good things about Georgia transfer Brock Vandagriff during spring practice. However, the expected UK starting quarterback is not one who will say a lot about himself — or anyone else — on social media.
He retweeted one post on X in March — and that was about a UK collective. He did one in February from Kentucky football announcing his transfer from Georgia. He had no posts the entire month of January on X.
“Social media to me is just a bunch of people posting stuff about what others want to see. It’s not authentic. I don’t take pictures everywhere I go. At dinner talk to others I am with,” he said.
“I throw something up there every couple of months just to update people. I know it can be a good platform and good way to spread a message but it’s not for me.”
Vandagriff also does not want to let social media influence him.
“I do not want to take the highs too high or lows too low. If you win, people are ready to vote for you for the Heisman. If you lose, you are the worst player ever,” he said. “I just make sure I stay on that steady course and stay away from the highs and lows.”

I think he will end up being the best quarterback that we have had here in a long time. I think he’s better than levis, but he also has a better receiving room than levis had. He has more touch on his passes and is extremely accurate. If the line gives him time which I think they will he is going to light it up. He will easily throw for over 3,000 yards. If he stays 2 years I think he will have heisman consideration this year. Next year he will be on the heisman watch list and if he improves from this year watch out. He might do better this year with the offensive line that we have. I think we lose 3 or 4 offensive lineman off this years team. Lavell Wright made a good move to transfer. I think he was a 5th team running back. He should go to a mac school and get alot of reps this year and probably start next year. He wouldn’t have gotten any carries this year. Ramon Jefferson only had 10-15 carries all last year and he’s better than lavell Wright. With Chip leading the way and Demie being the 3rd down and 2nd string back I think Patterson will get some carries. Maybe they use Patterson in 4 games and keep his redshirt. You could put Wilcox at 3rd string because he’s a red shirt freshman and put Patterson at 4th string but I wouldnt waste a scholarship for Patterson on mop up minutes. Redshift him this year and let him fight for a starting spot on next years team and at worst he will be second string but get alot of carries behind demie.
It’s sounds like he understands exactly how the net works. He don’t want to listen to the whiners out there.
