Kayla Dunn picked up a fourth-place finish in the shot put and an eighth-place showing in the discus to lead Lyon County’s girls at the Class A Region 1 Track Meet Saturday at Murray High School.
Dunn recorded a throw of 27 feet, 3.5 inches to medal in the shot put.
Her distance in the discus was 69 feet, 3 inches.
Lyon County’s 4×200-meter relay team placed seventh in a time of 2:13.89. Team members are Chloe Gandee, Eryn McDowell, Bella Baccus and Kyndal Hubbard.
The 4×100 relay team was 10th in 1:03.64. That squad is made up of Gandee, Baccus, Dunn and McDowell.
Hubbard placed 10th in the 800-meter run in 2:50.66.
The Lady Lyons finished 11th out of 13 schools in the team standings.
Host Murray won the team championship while Fort Campbell was second. Caldwell County took third.
