Christopher McCarley picked a great time to set a school record in the discus throw — the Region 1 Meet. His throw of 144 feet, 10 inches beat Terrence Sowerby’s nine-year-old record by over three feet.
The Colonel junior now sets his sights on Saturday’s Class 3A State Track and Field Meet in Lexington.
