Trigg County Gets First Shutout in Win at Lyon County

The Trigg County Wildcats picked up their first shutout win of the soccer season Thursday night. Getting a big night from their backline defense, the Wildcats took care of business with an 8-0 win on the road at Lyon County.

James Garnett led the attack on offense with a hat trick. Corben Woodall added two goals for the Wildcats.

Trigg County also got scores from Nate Kelly, Slaton Carter, and Matthew Choate, who scored his first varsity goal.

Nate Kelly led the Wildcats with two assists in the match. Matthew Choate, James Garnett, Elliot Sutton, and Cameron McCormick also aided on Trigg County goals.

McCormick and Braxten Creekmur combined to come up with the shutout in goal.

Trigg County (3-7-3) is set to host Heritage Christian Academy Tuesday evening on Senior Night.

Lyon County (1-9-0) goes on the road Tuesday to take on the Russellville Panthers.
