
Lauren Mayes ran a personal best time and landed in the top three at Saturday’s Graves Eagle Classic, helping Hopkinsville to a fourth-place finish.
Mayes covered the 3.1-mile course in 20:28, finishing third behind St. Mary’s Gabby Ault (20:03) and Murray’s Jade Green (20:21).
Her previous best time was 21:32 ran at Warren East in 2021.
Evelyn Bangart also produced a personal best time, finishing in 20th place at 22:42.
Rebecca Wood finished in 22nd place with a time of 23:00, and Kaydon Coats was 25th in 23:22.
Amerah Acree was 55th in 27:49 and Luanna Acree was 56th in 28:08.
As a team, Hopkinsville scored 80 points to finish seven points behind Dawson Springs, which was in third place. Graves County won the team championship with 42 points.
Hopkinsville will compete in the Class 2A Region 1 Meet next Saturday at Marshall County High School.
