Hopkinsville’s Littleton Wins 165 Pound Class at Coyote Classic

A big weekend for Hopkinsville High School wrestler Jaylin Littleton. Littleton, along with his teammates, competed in the 2024 Coyote Classic, one of the area’s biggest early season wrestling events.

Littleton won the 165-pound weight class, generating 24 points for the Tiger team totals.

Littleton, who had a buy in the opening round of his class, defeated Daniel Martinez, of Hunters Lane High School, by fall in just 38 seconds in the quarterfinals of the championship bracket.

Littleton also won by fall in his semifinal match, beating Cayson Rasch, of Montgomery Central in 3:43.

That moved Littleton into the 1st place match for the 165 pound class, where he won by decision over Jack Dawson, of Creek Wood High School, by a score of 7-1.

As a team, the Tigers finished in 15th place for the meet with 47 points. West Creek took 1st place with 201 points.
