
Heralded Division I recruit J.J. Andrews had 35 points and 15 rebounds to lead Little Rock Christian Academy over Pinson Valley (Alabama) 65-61 Friday afternoon in the West Kentucky Hoops Classic in Princeton.
The Warriors (11-3) led by as much as 14 points in the first half before taking a 38-32 lead to halftime.
But Pinson Valley (11-6) got within 48-46 through three quarters and kept the game tight down the stretch.
Andrews was 11 of 16 from the field and 12 of 16 at the free throw line while helping Little Rock Christian hold off the Indians.
K.D. Hicks and Kaiden Nelson each added 10 points for the Arkansas school.
Austin Coner helped keep Pinson Valley in the game with 32 points on 12 of 18 shooting from the floor. Quay Lynch added 13 points.
Pinson Valley plays again Saturday at 5 p.m. against Southwind from Memphis, Tennessee.
Little Rock Christian takes on Bowling Green Saturday night at 8 p.m. in the Hoops Classic.
