Hopkinsville Hands Russellville Fourth Straight Loss

The Hopkinsville Tigers soccer team faced off against the Russellville Panthers on Thursday evening, where they were able to get their fifth win of the year by way of an 8-0 mercy rule.

Erick Hernandez, Mikel Ramirez, and Ryan Elizalde all had two goals apiece, as they were the driving forces in the win. Cesar Sotelo and Alex Ramirez also each had a goal, with the latter having two assists on the day.

As for the defense, goalkeeper Landon Beaulieu was not tested that much in the net, but he saved everything he needed to with two saves on the day.

The Tigers will be looking to start a win streak in their next game on Thursday, September 18, against the Christian County Colonels. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Stadium of Champions soccer fields.
