Henderson County Takes 8th Place at Boys’ State First Round

Henderson County’s golf season came to a close on Tuesday at the KHSAA State First Round at the Calvert City Country Club.

Mason Raines had the top score for the Colonels with an 8-over par 80, missing a qualifying spot at next week’s state championship by two shots.

Wyatt DeWitt and Jake Hayden tied for 50^th place with a 12-over par 84. Bentley Simpson shot an 86 to tie for 67^th place, and Levi Smith finished tied for 72^nd place with an 87.

As a team, Henderson County finished in eighth place, 26 shots out of qualifying as a team for the state championship.
