
Trigg County had some top finishes at the NASP State Archery Tournament, which concluded Saturday in Louisville.
Caleb Wadlington led the Arrowcats with a score of 290, good for 12th place out of 1,538 archers in the high school boys division. It’s the second time in three years that Trigg County has produced a top-15 finish at the NASP state competition. Trevor Hoy finished third in 2024.
On the girls’ side, Megan Wadlington posted a 275 with 12 tens, placing 230th.
Two Arrowcats recorded personal bests — Netra Patel (269) and Alexis Starcher (266).

As a team, Trigg County finished in 90th place out of 148 schools with a score of 3,181.
Sixth-grader Colby Burgess had the top score for Trigg County Middle School, with a personal-best 266, placing 243rd. As a team, Trigg Middle finished 99th.
Samuel Lancaster had a top-10 finish for Trigg County Intermediate in the elementary school division. His personal best score of 273 was good for ninth place out of 1,199 archers in the division.
As a team, Trigg Intermediate finished 70th.
