Isiah Pantiere continues to rewrite the University Heights Academy track and field record book with another addition following Friday’s Area 1 Championship at McCracken County.
The senior won the 100-meter dash in 10.75 seconds, breaking his previous best of 10.89 at Elizabethtown’s Panther Twilight Invitational last month. It was one of three first place finishes for the senior, who added a third place in the long jump.
Pantiere also holds the school record in the 200 meters, 400 meters, and long jump.
For the ladies, Evelyn Morales won the 300-meter hurdles and was second in the high jump, while Meghan Adams was second in the 400-meter run.
The Lady Blazers finished fifth with 63 points, five points behind region foe Murray. Paducah Tilghman won with 144 points.
The Blazers finished seventh with 45 points, just behind Murray’s total of 51.5. Paducah Tilghman won with 129 points.
