Former Caldwell County Tiger Fonso White begins his second season as head coach at Bishop Luers High School in Fort Wayne, Ind., Tuesday night.

White and the Knights will play at home against the Fort Wayne Canterbury Cavaliers.

Bishop Luers was 4-18 in a rebuilding year last season but is ranked No. 25 in Indiana Class 3A this year by PrepHoops.com.

Prep Hoops adds that Bishop Luers “is a very complete team top-to-bottom. There should be no doubt that this year’s team will be better than last year’s team and should be one of the favorites to win their Sectional.”

Prep Hoops says Bishop Luers “has a great opportunity to make one of the biggest turnarounds in the state.”

White is a 1993 Caldwell County graduate and former member of the Tiger basketball team.

White’s coaching experience includes a head coaching stop at Clinton Central High School and assistant coaching jobs at Westfield High School, Southport High School, Franklin University, Park Tudor High School and Pike High School.

White is a graduate of Franklin College and earned his teaching certification from Marian University.
