The 5th District boasts two of the top 12 rebounders in the state according to stats released by the KHSAA Tuesday.
Lyon County senior Calista Collins is 8th in the state with 13.0 boards per game. Livingston Central’s Lauren Wring is 12th at 12.1 rebounds per game.
Other 2nd Region players ranked in the top 25 in the various stat categories were:
Henderson County’s Sadie Wurth is 2nd in 3-point percentage (56.7%) and 21st in 3-pointers per game (2.8)
Webster County’s Mary Kate Rakestraw is 8th in FG percentage (66.7%)
Henderson County’s M’Kyra Dixon is 10th in FG percentage (65.7%)
Madisonville’s Kara Franklin is 11th in FG percentage (65.4%)
Christian County’s Treliyah Thomas is 15th in FG percentage (64.3%)
Union County’s Raelle Beaven is 16th in FG percentage (64.3%)
Madisonville’s Destiny Whitsell is 23rd in FG percentage (61.8%).
In team categories:
Lyon County is third in rebounding at 39.1 per game.
Henderson County is 6th in FG percentage (47.5%), 7th in scoring margin (27.0), 12th in scoring defense (37.7), and 20th in scoring offense (64.7).
Trigg County is 22nd in rebounding at 36.3 per game.
