Crittenden County seized control with a seven-run fourth inning and went on to post a 16-4 win in six innings at Caldwell County on Thursday.

The Rockets (14-6), who defeated the Tigers 10-0 earlier this season in the final of the 2nd Region All A Classic, trailed 2-0 early in the rematch.

However, Crittenden pounded out 14 base hits while also taking advantage of nine walks to put up 16 runs.

Jamus Carneyhan doubled home two runs in the bottom of the first to give Caldwell (8-10) its early 2-0 advantage.

Crittenden tied things in the second inning.

The teams went to the fourth inning deadlocked 3-3.

But the Rockets sent 13 men to the plate in the top of the fourth, scoring seven times. Three Caldwell errors in the frame were costly for the home team as Crittenden went up 10-3.

Caldwell got only as close as 10-4 before the Rockets added two runs in the fifth and four in the sixth to put the game away.

Maddux Carlson was 3-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs batted in for Crittenden.

Gabe Mott went 2-for-4 and knocked in three runs. Tyler Boone was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs while Trace Adams was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Carneyhan went 2-for-3 for Caldwell but was the only Tiger with multiple hits.

Boone was the winning hurler for the Rockets, allowing three earned runs on six hits while pitching into the sixth inning. He struck out five and walked one.
