Hight Advantage Gives Storm 13-1 Win at Fort Campbell

Hopkins County Central got strong pitching from Sage Hight and pulled away for a 13-1 victory in six innings at Fort Campbell on Friday.

Truman Ballard was 3-for-3 with a pair of runs batted in while Tanner Edwards was 2-for-4 and drove in three for the Storm, which is now 4-22.

Hopkins Central, which had dropped nine straight games, was aided by 10 errors by the Falcons, who are now 0-19.

The game was scoreless after two innings, but Hopkins Central scored in each of its last four at-bats, including four runs in the fourth and five in the sixth.

Hight gave up just an unearned run on four base hits for the Storm. He struck out eight and walked just one.

For Fort Campbell, Aiden Blaszkowski doubled while Andrew Haughenberry, Travis Doyle and Robert Dennis each singled.

Falcon starter Carter Timm suffered the pitching loss. He allowed only three base hits and struck out six. He did allow eight runs but all of them were unearned.

Fort Campbell is scheduled to visit Todd County Central on Tuesday.
