Three different players scored a goal for St. Mary as the Vikings handed Trigg County a 3-0 setback Monday at the Complex.
The loss dropped the Wildcats to 2-5-1 ahead of a Thursday home showdown with 4th Region All A Classic champion Russellville.
Landon Willett scored off a rebound in the 15th minute for the only goal of the first half. Trigg outshot the Vikings 7-6 in the first 40 minutes but two shots off the post kept the Wildcats off the scoreboard.
Aidan Hrdlicka headed home a corner in the 42nd minute, and St. Mary added a goal on a breakaway nine minutes later to round out the scoring.
St. Mary outshot Trigg 10-5 in the second half and 16-12 in the match.
Trigg County will only play at home in three of its final 11 matches with two of them in the next week.
