The Henderson County Lady Colonels broke open a close match with four second-half goals and picked up their third straight win Thursday night. After leading only 1-0 at the half, they pulled away from the University Heights Academy Blazers for a 5-0 win in Henderson.

The match was scoreless until the 19:00 mark when Ashton Lynam found the net to give the Lady Colonels a 1-0 lead. UHA would clamp down on the Lady Colonels for the remainder of the half and the Lady Blazers would trail only by one goal at the break.

Henderson County put the pressure squarely on the shoulders of the Lady Blazers early in the second half as Kacee Butker scored a goal just five minutes into the half to extend the lead to 2-0. Butler would score again moments later to make it 3-0.

After an own goal against UHA made the score 4-0, Henderson would get a late goal from Ashton Lynam to finish the scoring on the night.

With the loss, UHA falls to 4-3 on the season. The Lady Blazers have a big district match Saturday when they go to the Stadium of Champions to take on Hopkinsville.

Henderson County improves to 10-4 and will host Graves County Saturday.
