
Playing in their first 13th-District matchup of the season on Friday night at Logan County, the shorthanded Todd County Central Lady Rebels were buried early in a 65-20 loss to the Lady Cougars.
The Lady Rebels drop their second straight to slip to 6-8 with another district game coming up when Franklin-Simpson visits Elkton on Monday.
Todd Central led 6-5 midway through the 1st quarter, but Logan County reeled off a 15-0 run behind nine points from Gracie Borders to lead 20-6.
Alexis Taylor had the lone basket for the Lady Rebels in the 2nd quarter and Logan County continued to pour it on. Ta’Kayiah Mason and Kadyn Costello combined for nine points and the Lady Cougars took a 37-9 advantage into halftime.
A 9-0 start to the 2nd half triggered the running clock at 45-9 and Logan County improved to 16-6, 2-1 in district play.
Gracie Borders led all scorers with 17 points, followed by Emily Borders with 11, and Costello with 10.
