Trigg Boys Lose Lead Late at Westmoreland, TN

Playing without leading scorer Jhaden Vaughn, the Trigg County Wildcats saw a 4th-quarter lead evaporate in a 49-39 loss at Westmoreland, TN on Tuesday.

The Wildcats slip to 14-13 overall with a visit from Madisonville-North Hopkins coming up on Thursday.

The teams were knotted at 9-9 after the 1st quarter before Aquarius Gude put up eight points in the 2nd quarter for a 24-21 Trigg lead at the half.

Kyhran Vaughn and Kendric Adams combined for eight in the 3rd, and the Wildcats stretched the margin to five with a quarter to play.

Trigg went cold in the 4th, managing only four points over the final eight minutes.  James Leath scored six and Kamryn Eden added eight for Westmoreland to outscore the Wildcats 19-4 and steal the victory.
