Dewey Riley was a key contributor to Caldwell County’s 18-11 basketball season.
Besides averaging six points and six rebounds a game, Riley’s size made him a presence at the defensive end of the floor.
Caldwell’s basketball season ended with a loss this week in the 7th District tournament semifinals. But the sports season continues for Riley, who also excels on the Tiger track team.
Riley claimed two medals last spring at the KHSAA State Track Championships in Lexington. He was a member of the Caldwell 400-meter and 800-meter relay squads, which each finished eighth at state.
Riley says he is looking to improve on those showings this year.
