The Lyon County Lyons will head to the All A Classic state tournament April 30-May 1 in Richmond after blanking Paducah St. Mary 3-0 in sectional play Saturday in Eddyville.
Lyon went to All A state in 2019 and reached the semifinal round.
However, the 2020 season was wiped out by COVID, then the Lyons were upset in the first round of the regional All A Classic by University Heights last season.
Lyon actually had two games on the home schedule on Saturday. After dispatching St. Mary in the All A sectional, the Lyons fell to Christian County 10-0.
