Lyon County’s girls took three of four singles matches and went on to defeat Caldwell County 4-3 in tennis action Thursday in Princeton.
In singles action:
Laney Dalby (LC) defeated Josie Shaffer 6-4, 6-0;
Keegan Miller (CC) def. Anna Crawford 8-4;
Josie Kaminski (LC) def. Bella Stewart 8-2;
Krysta Stovall (LC) def. Meleah Greenfield 8-0.
In doubles:
Shaffer/Miller (CC) def. Katie Ladd/Cassidy Chaptman 6-1, 6-4;
Caroline Cook/Zoe Board (LC) def. Stewart/Greenfield 8-4;
Lahkia Matchem/Ella Johnson (CC) def. Allie Holt/Elizabeth Harper 9-7.
Caldwell will make up a home match against Webster County on Friday.
Lyon is scheduled to go to Webster on Monday.
