Wildcat Tracksters Take 9th at Hoptown Meet

Trigg County’s track and field team came in ninth place Saturday at the Hopkinsville Invitational held at the Stadium of Champions.

Trigg had 41 points, which was one point out of eighth place.

TOP WILDCAT FINISHES

Austin Cavanaugh – 1st in the 3200-meter run (10:38.99); 3rd in the 1600-meter run (4:40.88)

Marshall Jenkins – 3rd in the 800-meter run (2:12.07)

Peyton Williams – 5th in the 200-meter dash (24.36); 10th in the 100-meter dash (12.10)

Matthew Reeves – 9th in the high jump (5-2)

River Oliver – 17th in the 200-meter dash (25.87)

Mac Alexander – 18th in the shot put (29-5); 27th in the discus throw (57-7)

Ethan Curling – 26th in the shot put (23-0); 28th in the discus throw (49-8)

The 3200-meter relay team won in a time of 8:58.40.

The 1600-meter relay team finished in fifth place in 3:50.90.

The 800-meter relay team finished in eighth place in 1:41.92.
