Lyon County split two games at the All A Classic state baseball tournament over the weekend. The Lyons knocked out Hazard 5-3 in the quarterfinals on Saturday but then fell to Pikeville 3-1 on Sunday.
Pikeville went on to win the state championship, beating Beechwood 10-7 for the title.
Lyon head coach Ricky Baker said his team’s pitching was strong throughout the weekend.
