Falcons Fly Past Heritage Christian 14-3

Fort Campbell took advantage of 11 walks and banged out nine hits to spoil Heritage Christian Academy’s senior day Monday and grab a 14-3 win at David Eddings Field.

Aidan Blaszkowski pitched a three-hitter and struck out 10 batters for the Falcons who improved to 4-23. The Falcons were aggressive on the base paths, stealing 13 bases. Ethan Egner had five of those as part of a two-hit and three-run afternoon.

Fort Campbell broke open a 1-1 tie in the third inning with a five-run spurt. Chase Cribbett had an RBI double in the inning as the Falcons took advantage of two HCA errors.

Fort Campbell added six more runs in the fourth inning with Angel Garcia coming up with the big hit, a three-run double. Andrew Haughenbury also had a pair of hits for Fort Campbell.

David Jent had a double and Weston Powell a triple for the Warriors, who dropped to 14-8.

Heritage Christian Academy will host another future 8th District foe Tuesday as University Heights Academy pays a visit.  Fort Campbell will play at Todd County Central Wednesday.
