Allison Wood took to the track one final time in her Hopkinsville High School career Saturday with a pair of runs at the Clark’s Pump-N-Save Class 3A State Track and Field Championships at the University of Kentucky.
Wood finished 22nd in the 1600-meter run at a time of 5:41.44. While it wasn’t her best time, it comes two weeks after she set the school record at 5:25.03. Wood owns six of Hopkinsville High’s 10 fastest times in the 1600 meters.
Wood also finished in 22nd place in the 3200-meter run in a time of 12:29.13. The Murray State signee also owns the school record in the event and has the ten fastest times ever run by a Hopkinsville High female athlete in the event.
