After battling back to earn a come-from-behind win in the 2nd set and tie Tuesday’s match at Union County, the Trigg County volleyball team couldn’t maintain the momentum in a 3-1 loss to the Lady Braves.
Misplaced serves plagued the Lady Wildcats in a 15-25 loss in the 1st set, but after trailing 23-24 in the 2nd, they scored the final three points to win 26-24.
However, Trigg struggled to return serve in the 3rd and trailed throughout in an 11-25 defeat.
Union built an early lead in the final set before the Lady Wildcats got back within three points at 20-17. But the Lady Braves outscored them 5-1 the rest of the way to claim a 25-18 victory.
Union County won its third match in four outings to improve to 7-9.
Trigg remains winless and will host Fulton City on Thursday in Wildcat Gym.
