Lady Rebels Have ‘Perfect’ Weekend at wRECk@The Plex (w/PHOTOS)

You might say it was a good weekend for the Todd County Central Lady Rebels on the volleyball court. And, if you did, you would be quite right. With senior Lucy Chester seemingly feeling better with her injured wrist, the Lady Rebels had what you might call a “perfect” weekend.

The Lady Rebels went 5-0 at the wRECk@ThePlex Friday and Saturday. Noy only did they go 5-0, they did not lose a single set over the weekend.

Todd Central kicked things off Friday night taking on the Hopkins Central Lady Storm. The Lady Rebels rolled through the match for a 25-11, 25-12 straight set win.

The Lady Rebels finished out Friday night with a match against Crittenden County and claimed another straight set win, taking out the Lady Rockets 25-17 and 25-15.

Todd Central began Saturday morning with a match against Sycamore, Tennessee. The Lady Rebels rolled through the first set 25-16. The second set was a bit harder, but Todd Central still prevailed 26-24 to close out the two-set sweep.

Up next was a match against Heritage Christian, the first ever meeting between the two programs. The Lady Rebels took the opening set 25-19. Todd Central then handily took the second set 25-12 to close out the match two sets to none.

The Lady Rebels final match of the weekend came against unbeaten East Robertson. The first set was hard-fought with Todd Central finally claiming the set 26-24. The Lady Rebels would then take the second set 25-18 to complete the sweep and hand East Robertson its first loss of the season.

With five wins during the weekend, the Lady Rebels now go to 18-7 on the year.

The Lady Rebels are back in action next weekend when they go to McCracken County for the annual Quad State Tournament.
