It was a solid weekend for the University Heights Academy Lady Blazers at the 2022 wRECk@ThePlex. The Lady Blazers ended up going 4-1 for the weekend and picked up the program’s first two wins over a regional rival.

Action for the Lady Blazers began Friday night as they took on Clarksville Northwest. UHA took care of business against the Lady Vikings, winning the opening set 25-11 and then closing out the sweep 25-23.

UHA finished Friday night with a match against Community Christian School. The Lady Blazers took the opening set 25-19. UHA finished out their second sweep of the night by winning the second set 25-13.

The Lady Blazers began Saturday morning with a match against Caldwell County. UHA controlled the match from the beginning and won both sets by identical 25-15 scores to win their third straight of the weekend.

The next match for UHA was another 2nd Region rival, that being the Lady Maroons from Madisonville-North Hopkins. The Lady Blazers pushed the Lady Maroons to the limit in the opening set before falling 27-26. Madisonville then closed out the match with a 25-16 win to take the match two sets to none.

The results of the first four matches led to a rematch with the Caldwell County Lady Tigers in UHA’s final match of the weekend. The results of the second were not much different than the results of the first, as the Lady Blazers won in straight sets 25-11 and 25-16.

UHA is back on the court Tuesday evening when they go across town to take on Hopkinsville.
