The Hopkinsville High School cross country team finished in 11th place Saturday at the Class 3A Region 1 Meet held at Marshall County High School.
Eighth-grader Tyson Cavinder was the first runner across the finish line for Hoptown in a time of 19:44 over the 3.1-mile course, which was good for 49th place.
Savior Schaal finished in 55th place with a time of 20:26. Kentrell Adams finished in 68th place followed by Camden Dennis in 72nd and Victor Hatcher in 73rd Place.
Apollo High School’s Thomas Ashby won the race with a time of 15:54, which was the second fastest time ever run on the course.
