
Heritage Christian Academy continued its strong start to the 2022-23 basketball season with a 67-27 win at Valor Christian Academy in Owensboro Thursday.
Carlos Robles scored 14 of his game-high 30 points in the second quarter, helping the Warriors outscore the Tigers 23-9 and build a 34-17 halftime advantage. Robles added 14 rebounds and six steals to his stat line.
HCA shot 48 percent from the field but gathered 23 steals from 31 Valor turnovers.
Jason Leek added 12 points and six steals, and Angel Lopez contributed 10 points. Cam Higgins scored six points and had a team-high eight steals on defense.
HCA improved to 5-2 overall and 4-2 in KCAA play. The Warriors will host Fort Campbell Friday night in a scrimmage at Warrior Gym.
