Kentucky’s defense played their hearts out against the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs but the Wildcats’ offense was too late to score enough points on Saturday and failed to secure the win, losing the contest 16-6. Considering the competition and the magnitude of the game, defensive coordinator Brad White had his unit play arguably their best game of his tenure.
Meanwhile, it took more than three full quarters for Kentucky to finally put points on the board. Kentucky missed opportunities in the red zone and that was ultimately the difference in the 10-point loss. The Wildcats move to 6-5 on the season and are 2-5 in their last seven games.
They’ll host their in-state rival Louisville Cardinals next Saturday for their regular season finale and senior day.
