Tomica Leads Todd Central at Auburn Archery Tournament

Landon Tomica had the high score of the day to help Todd County Central finish in second place at the Auburn Archery Tournament Saturday.

The senior shot 288 to finish in second place. His score was four points shy of what he shot at the NASP State Tournament last March when placed ninth out of over 1,500 high school archers.

Freshman Joe Anthony Tabor shot 288 to finish in third place, while Jordan Brumfield shot 264 to finish in 40th place. Preston Stokes had a score of 262 which was good for 46th place, and Joseph Collins shot a 262 to finish in 48th.

Kenzie Hicks placed 13th in the female division with a score of 274, while Lizzy Langley was 18th with 270. Julia Floyd shot a 261 to claim 38th place, and Samantha Neyens was 46th with a 257.

Logan County’s Isaac Stanley had the high score of the day with a 294. Butler County’s Tobin Maxfield shot 290 for the top score among females.

As a team, Todd County Central finished in fourth place with 3,198 points. Butler County won the event with a score of 3,357 which was 30 points better than second place Logan County.
