
The Fort Campbell Falcons will send at least one relay team and two individuals to the state swim meet later this month in Lexington.
Fort Campbell finished fifth as a team at the Region I Championships at the Rick Cohn Aquatic Center in Hopkinsville.
The 200-yard medley relay team of Brody Sharp, Jonah Weisbrich, Robert Federovich, and Zakari Kohama qualified for the state meet with a second-place finish in 1:55.93.
The same foursome finished in fourth place in the 200-yard free relay with a time of 1:43.92.
Brody Sharp and Jonah Weisbrich will also be headed to Lexington. Sharp finished second in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:00.12.
Weisbrich finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:05.55 and in third place in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:15.30.
Robert Federovich finished in seventh place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:01.45.
Alberto Burclaga finished in 11th place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 31.05 and 13th in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:14.09.
Zakari Kohama came in 11th place in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:25.03.
The top two finishers at region and the next 16 fastest times statewide advance to the state swim meet on February 18 at the University of Kentucky.
