The Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces scored in every inning but one while they got a lockdown pitching performance on their way to a 9-0 win over the Lyon County Lady Lyons Friday evening in the Owensboro Catholic Classic. The loss was the 5th straight for the Lady Lyons.
Lady Aces hurler Hannah Robbins limited the Lady Lyons to three hits over the contest while striking out nine and walking three.
Lyon County hits came in the first, the second and in the fifth inning. Lyon County was outhit for the game 10 to 3.
The Lady Aces scored one in the first, one in the third, three in the fourth, one in the fifth, and three more in the sixth.
For the Lady Lyons, Lauren Davis, Brenna Breitrick, and Jenna Coursey had hits on the evening.
In the circle, Lilly Perry was tagged with the loss. She went all six innings, striking out three and walking three.
The Lady Lyons return to play in the Owensboro Catholic Classic Saturday afternoon.
