Kentucky softball suffered a heartbreaking loss on Friday to the Florida Gators, falling behind late in the game to lose 3-2.
The Lady Wildcats were out to a hot start, scoring two runs during the first inning. But that was all their offense could put together and that proved to be not enough when Florida scored a run in the fifth as well as two runs in the seventh to take the win.
Kentucky had the opener of their Senior Weekend spoiled, but have the chance to take back a win on Senior Day. First pitch is set for 3PM today on ESPNU with Sunday’s game scheduled for 2PM.
