Trey Blanton now owns the two fastest 200-meter times in Christian County track and field history. He broke an 11-year-old record at the Area 1 Championships and ran the second-fastest over the weekend at the Apollo Invitational.
Also on Saturday. Blanton ran an 11.12-second 100-meter dash — which was the fourth fastest in school history and just .12 seconds off Tim Wharton’s 2005 record mark. At region and possibly at state, Blanton will make a push to become the first Colonel to break the 11-second barrier.
