
Crittenden County junior Payton Maness had the best showing for Crittenden County at the Clark’s Pump-n-Shop Class 1A State Track and Field Meet Thursday in Lexington.
Maness, a junior, finished in 12th place in the high jump at 4 feet, 8 inches. She was two inches off the school record she tied on six other occasions this season.
Karsyn Potter finished 13th in the discus throw with a toss of 89 feet, 6 inches. Her throw was the second-longest in school history. She set the school mark at 98 feet, 7 inches at the region meet two weeks ago.
The 3200-meter relay team of Marty Martinez, Presley Potter, Aubrey Grau, and Ella Geary finished 18th with a time of 11:39.48. They set the school record at the region meet.
For the guys, Rowen Perkins finished 19th in the long jump at 18 feet, 3.25 inches.
The 1600-meter relay team of Rowen Perkins, Preston Morgeson, Jordan Hardesty, and Devon Carr came in 23rd place in 4:01.91.
