
The Todd County Central girls’ soccer team wrapped up its 13th-District slate with a 3-1 victory over hosts Logan County on Tuesday, avenging an earlier defeat to the Lady Cougars and wrapping up the top seed in the district tournament.
Melanie Chamberlaine countinued to be the goal-scoring force for the Lady Rebels, notching the first if her three strikes inside the first three minutes of the game.
Chamberlaine’s hat trick takes her season total to 17 goals, with the rest of the team combining for five.
Ava Scott provided an assist, and Darby Delph made six saves. The Lady Rebels outshot the Lady Cougars 20-7.
Todd Central won for the fourth time in five outings to improve to 7-5-1 ahead of a trip to University Heights Academy on Monday.
