The Lady Colonels took the early lead in the game when Jazzy Tejada powered up for a 2-run homer to right to put Christian County ahead 2-0 after two innings.

A Christian County error in the top of the third opened the door for Union County to score three runs to go up 3-2. The big hit in the inning was a two-run double from Ava Arnett.

After a one-out walk in the top of the 4th, Union County got an RBI double from Aspen Davis, extending the lead to 4-2.
